Moments.

Every moment represents an experience that vies for your attention.
However, we seldom stay in the moment. We are always thinking of what's next. For instance, when was the last time we truly enjoyed our shower and not think of what's next on the agenda?
In every moment, there's an opportunity to assimilate what life presents in front of us. Experience the moment, be immersed in it, give it our all, for that represents life's cycle. It's a gift. A true gift that doesn't come back. Serve the moments that life unfolds in front of us without preferences.
Serve in a manner such that you don't care about the fruits of the action.
I quote the Bhagavad Gita here:
"karma?y-evādhikāras te mā phale?hu kadāchana
mā karma-phala-hetur bhūr mā te sa?go ’stvakarma?i"
To roughly translate (Thanks to Google):
"Do your duty without getting attached to the results….. ... You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty."
When we serve, the results that follow are a consequence of how mindfully we serve, by fully immersing ourselves in each and every moment of the service, the actions of others and a bunch of other life's instances in play that lead up to that moment. There's neither a need to be attached to the outcome nor be in anticipation of the outcome.
Truly, that is when we realize our purpose - in every moment. It's not a Life Goal. It's a Moment Goal. Truly then, we find peace, we find happiness.
We find ourselves.
