A Moment About Markets
Shifts in the Real Estate Market happen a bit slower on a national scale, and more rapidly on a local level; this much has always been true. Here in the Upstate of South Carolina, the shift in our local market has already started!
We've seen truth in the statements this article makes about the difficulty for buyers in markets below $200,000. With such a competitive market, and lack of re-sale in the aforementioned price range, we are left to wonder: will new construction be the answer for these prospective buyers? Will builders and developers in Anderson, Greenville, Pickens, and Spartanburg step up to the plate, and provide the necessary inventory? Or, will home owners in the Upstate recognize this shift and seek to take advantage of the market's current momentum; before it dwindles?
What we do know, and can bring from this is: NOW IS THE TIME TO SELL. Either side of the previously described solutions will lead to a saturated inventory, meaning more competition.
With the recent ?#?Brexit? dropping interest rates on home loans, a quick home sale and purchase would be well timed.
