Be in the MOMENT

John Maxwell says that our destinies in life will never be determined by our complaining spirits or high expectations. Life is full of surprises and the adjustments of our attitude is a life long project.

TIP:  When something really good happens to us, we always have an inclination to want to make sense of it and understand it. Assigning meaning every time can rob us of our joy in that moment and of that achievement. This is because what initially seems surprising and amazing and interesting becomes ordinary pretty quickly. Always remember that the blessing you are enjoying today are your prayers of yesterday. Learn to live in the moment and enjoy the moment. All you have is NOW! 

Practical Application : Don't focus on extremes of success or failure, both can leave you discontent. Keep a good perspective on your lifes achivements so you can remain content in all things. This brings to mind what Aostle Paul said "I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I’m just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I’ve found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am"
