In The Moment
“I’d like to see how long I could last at being consistently here, I’d like to be more here all the time, really alive.” Bill Murray, when asked what he wanted that he didn’t have.
Living in the present, what would your life be like if you were better at that? Most of the time, most of us are not living in the moment. We are either obsessing over the past or worrying about the future or a combination of both. Over 20 million Americans suffer from some form of mood disorder and failing to live in the moment is one of the root causes.

Why is it important to live in the moment? Not only do you want to not have a mood disorder, being present, fully present with others and with yourself is a great talent and gift. Multi-tasking simply does not work. Don’t keep your cell phone next to you while talking to someone. Put it away, give the other person your full attention. Be there, be present. Be conscious of what is going on in the moment. Feel your breathing, your heart beating. It’s amazing how you can transform the quality of your well-being by practicing and cultivating the habit of being present, living in the moment.
