A Moment with Donna … The Treasure Chest

We are powerhouses of unlimited potential. Within each of us is a treasure chest of gems that are waiting for us to discover. What would you imagine your treasure chest to look like? What would it take for you to open up to your inner self to discover the gems of talent, character, dreams that you hold captive in your heart and mind? Some of those gems are your mind, your thinking, your imagination, your creativity…let’s focus on the one, your thinking process.

Just because we have been in a lockdown condition doesn’t mean we are braindead for heaven’s sake. Let’s shake out our mental cobwebs and get busy getting in touch with our deeper selves, evaluating our strengths/weaknesses, and start moving forward into recognizing what we want to bring into our lives and what we want to toss out.

This time of the year, the lazy, crazy days of summer, are perfect for daydreaming, looking at what we want to explore, expand our learning about, choosing the environments of people and activities we want to be a part of, being enthusiastic about stepping up to and into life and its possibilities.

Everything that has ever existed began with a thought…don’t forget, you are here because of a ‘twinkle in your daddy’s eye’, as the old saying goes.

As you go about your daily activities, pay attention to what is going on around you. Take time to pull out of your inner treasure chest some of those valuable gems that will enrich your life, like curiosity, dreams that need to be polished and viewed, imagination’s diamonds of creativity…you choose. Start a journal where you can write about those gems that make your heart sing.

Periodically, pull out your journal and ask yourself how you might go about achieving that which means the most to you. Then take those steps and interact with the environments and people who can support those inner gems of discovery you hold dear. Don’t be concerned about how the conditions will evolve, just move forward as needed. Don’t be surprised when doors of opportunity start opening for you in the most unexpected ways.

Summer holds a special magic in her warm. bright presence. Yes, I believe in magic. Set intention, take action, sprinkle with decisiveness, add a pinch of faith, a huge scoop of patience, and you’ll have a rich result that will be amazing.
