MoM Blog 6, The New Year and Gratitude

The new year always makes me reflect on people and opportunities I am grateful for. Today’s message is inspired by the service men and women, Veterans, active-duty, and the ones whose lives were lost while serving, who have made it possible for us to thrive.?This includes my middle son, Staff Sergeant, Morin, USMC, active duty, who inspires me, and reminds me every day, without saying a word, how fortunate (and proud) I am.?

Taji100 2023 is one month away, starting February 1, 2023. I registered and am committed to run one hundred miles in 28 days, an average of 3.6 miles per day.?I am looking forward to another year to join my fellow Team RWB (Red, White and Blue) friends, family, co-workers, through 28 days of activity. It is not a competition; it is a platform designed to connect with others while showing support for the military. Though some members train alone, or remotely, we stay engaged through group chats or Team RWB local chapters – no one is left behind. When possible, we walk, run, or bike together. Regardless of the way we go through this journey, 28 days later, this event forges relationships, and raises awareness and support for American military service men and women by collecting donations for military related non-profit charity organizations.

Taji100 has an activity for everyone and every fitness level; walk, run, elliptical, bike, swim and now rowing. You do not have to be a Veteran to participate, just register at https://Taji100.com and join a team of your preference or in your area.?The past 2 years I created a team, so thank you, to those who joined me.?This year, I will join my local Team RWB Chapter, San Jose Eagles, and welcome any others who would like to.?I look forward to hearing about your experiences and seeing photos in February! Let’s do this!
