Molly, Holly and the Blockchain ??
You want to know what blockchain solves?
Let me tell you a quick story about a girl called Molly.
Molly always wanted a yellow-cream miniature pug, ever since she could remember.
But her mum always found a way not to get one for her.
So, on her birthday, she figured out a way to finally get one.
She would send a letter addressed to Uncle Dolly who she referred to as her favorite uncle.
Molly was so excited to send the letter off but she was too young to take the letter to the post office herself. So, the next morning, she had to ask her mum to do it for her.
You could say that her mum was the intermediary agent between Molly and her uncle Dolly.
She never thought that, on the way to the post office, her mum would open the letter, read it and add a frame around the pug to make it seem as if Molly wanted a picture frame.
The tampered letter was posted and delivered to Molly's uncle.?Uncle Dolly scoured over the internet until he found something similar he thought she was looking for.
On Molly's birthday, she received an adorable picture frame of a sad pug, similar to the one here.

For Molly’s next birthday, Molly decided to use the blockchain.
Molly wrote exactly the same letter. However, instead of giving it to her mum to deliver, she directly uploaded it to the blockchain.
The blockchain is made up of a lot of computers connected to one another through the internet, that all store a copy of everyone's letter.?
Every time a new letter is received, it is saved on everyone's computer, so everyone has the exact same copy. As the blockchain is an open network, everyone can see all the letters, even though it’s impossible to know whom each one belongs to. This means Uncle Dolly can see it, but so could Molly's mum.
When Molly’s mum saw that there was a letter asking for a pug, it wasn’t difficult to know it was from Molly. So, once again, mum changed it, this time to a colouring book.
But as every other node had a copy of Molly’s real letter, the change was spotted, and the computer trying to make the change was cut off from the network, meaning Molly’s real letter remained unchanged.
So, guess what Molly received for her next birthday? You guessed it...
Here's the moral of the story and what blockchain can solve.
Use blockchain to defeat your parents.
