Molding in 60 Seconds by the HP-RTM Process of Dow Improved Epoxy Resin System
Reinforce Plastics website sources said that the Dow Automotive Systems (Dow Automotive System) recently completed its Voraforce 5300 epoxy resin system performance promotion, the improvement direction mainly for the composite industry HP-RTM technology (High-pressure resin transfer molding process).
Dow claims that, with the aid of an improved epoxy system, the molding time of the HP-RTM process or the wet molding process (wet compression) can be controlled within 60 seconds to meet the technical requirements of carbon fiber composite mass production.
“Dow uses innovative formulations to make the resin system have ultra-low viscosity, while ? greatly shortening resin injection and curing time.”
Peter Cate, global strategic marketing manager for Dow Chemical, said, “Auto parts makers can thus achieve lightweight car parts on a scale.”

Lisa, Far from truth your 60 seconds molding panels. 3 to 4 minutes is OK. We are not in a hurry, Quality matters.

1 年Lisa What you say about DOW's resin and HP-RTM are no doubt true. Yet the mold and part you hightlight was not produced in 60 seconds.
