Mold Remediation

What is mold? I know its not a sexy topic. Probably the exact opposite of sexy. When you get down to it the word "mold" generally evokes a sense of fear in most people. And absolutely everyone, I mean everyone has an opinion on "mold" that they're willing to share with you. But what do you really know?

The photo above is from a completed mold remediation project. When I say completed mold remediation project what I mean is the job is finished. All mold damaged material has been removed and all surfaces have been successfully decontaminated and tested. COME ON REALLY?

At this point Michigan does not regulate mold remediation. Therefore there is a what I would call a wide variance in methodology and outcome in the field. Tearing out drywall and spraying over mold, debris, and surfaces with Kilz is not  the correct methodology.

If you see anything like this and you are told that this is a successful mold remediation ask for records, paperwork, anything, to substantiate the success of the project. You wont get it.
