A man and his 12-year-old daughter walk up to the store counter with purchases in hand. In most cases, a parent and child shopping trip is fairly normal. But make sure you take a peak at?what?they picked out. After all,?REM,?David Bowie,?The Stooges?and?Jesus Christ Superstar?albums are hard to miss — even more so, there is the rare phenomenon of a father and daughter duo?agreeing?on their music selections.
These albums aren’t dinky CDs, either. Instead, this eclectic mix of rock and a theatrical soundtrack come “Back In Black” on the grooves and notches of the world’s oldest sound medium — the record.
At?Mojo Vinyl, heart-warming experiences like this have happened since opening day, almost ten years ago.
“Mojo?was originally right on?Canton Street?when we found it, but we’ve moved with them for the past five or six years,” said Hatt Daly, of Roswell. “We’ve been coming since the beginning. We love it because we can find a little bit of everything. My daughter loves coming to buy records because we bond by listening to music together.”
