DCP sprinkler-type extinguishers use dry chemical powder to extinguish fires by creating a barrier between the fuel and oxygen. They are commonly used in areas where Class A, B, and C fires are likely to occur, such as in industrial facilities, warehouses, and server rooms.
Class A fires involve ordinary combustibles such as wood, paper, and cloth. Class B fires involve flammable liquids such as gasoline and oil. Class C fires involve electrical equipment such as wiring and appliances.
DCP sprinkler-type extinguishers come in various sizes and can be mounted on walls or placed on stands for easy access. They are generally easy to use and require minimal training, making them a popular choice for commercial and industrial settings.
It is important to note that DCP sprinkler-type extinguishers may cause damage to sensitive equipment and electronics due to the powder residue that is left behind. Therefore, they should only be used in areas where the potential damage is outweighed by the benefits of extinguishing the fire.
Additionally, it is recommended that DCP sprinkler-type extinguishers be serviced and maintained regularly to ensure they are functioning properly and are ready to use in the event of a fire.
