Did you know that Valmet Automotive's Modular Battery Platform goes beyond the battery pack and also includes our in-house developed Battery Control Unit (BCU)? ?

?? The BCU's role:

? Scalability: seamlessly connecting multiple battery packs in series to achieve the desired high-voltage level

? Communication: CAN-communication interface to provide data, for example, about battery health and status to the load unit's main controller

? Safety: integrated Battery Management Unit (BMU), functional safety diagnostics and fuse protection ?

While Power Pack HV-systems are connected by our Battery Control Unit (BCU), all Power Pack 48V variants have an integrated Battery Management Unit (BMU) directly in the pack.
