Tips for Vehicle Retailers to Navigate the EV Market

??Interest in used electric vehicles (EVs) is still low among retailers and buyers, but the number of available used EVs is steadily increasing. Here are some tips to help vehicle retailers navigate the growing used electric vehicle market confidently.

1.?Document buyer information: Ensure buyers acknowledge they’ve had sufficient time to consider their purchase. Highlight contract clauses on statute of limitations and updating obligations.

2.?Understand warranty extensions: If a defect occurs just before the warranty expires, it extends for at least four more months.

3.?Set clear expectations: Inform buyers that the EV might not meet typical expectations, particularly regarding battery life.

4. Manage digital content provisions: Exclude the permanent provision of digital content in contracts to prevent extended liability.
