What is the EstateEconomy? Business Model?

It is not an economic concept, theory or model.

It is not a business idea.

It is not an entirely new business model.

It is not a business model based on a long list of assumptions.

It is a model based on my actual business practices since 2006.

Through this model, I have changed how services are being promoted to the customers. I have successfully transformed my customers’ home estates into marketplaces for services. I have re-introduced the human element into the modern world where everything is online.

In this model, I have pulled demand and supply closer digitally through mobile apps and physically among neighbours living in the same home estate. I have taken the initiative to introduce Services Providers of every type to every home estate. This is the SUPPLY side of services – making it easier for neighbours to find and engage these Services Providers in the same home estate. I have induced the need and demand for every type of services in every home estate. This is the DEMAND side of services – making it easier for Services Providers to carry out their services for their neighbours in the same home estate.

This is a model for existing services entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs-to-be who are hunting for business ideas high and low island-wide, but missing out on the abundance of business opportunities in their own backyards.

With this model, I am making inroads into a totally forgotten territory: your home estates. This is where I am asking you to “localize” yourselves. “Localization” is generally defined as changing the content of your products or services to suit the local customers. But in the context of this EstateEconomy? Business Model, I am telling everyone to stop running around the entire island looking for customers. Stay put in your home estate. Your customers are just next door.
