“Let us keep to the way which Nature has mapped out for us, and let us not swerve therefrom. If we follow Nature, all is easy and unobstructed; but if we combat Nature, our life ?differs not a whit from that of men who row against the current.” I- Seneca?4 BC – 65 AD – Roman stateman & philosopher
The Zeitgeist of our current era is filled with clashing ideologies of nationalism, fascism, liberalism, fundamentalism, communism and all the ‘isms’ that we can think of, who claim universal superiority over the ‘others’. Here we are in 2022 and the mocking bird watches us from his tree repeating history over and over again.
Tides rise and fall as civilizations do yet unlike previous eras this one is unique. We are so interconnected that if we fail we’ll fail together and if we win we’ll all do. Our fate is so interwoven now that we’re just coming to grasp that fortresses are but a mirage and that every action ‘isolated may it seem’ boomerangs back.
We are at a cross road, and we are confused! Should we hold on to this illusion or should we let it go? Where’s the ‘global village’, where humanity can contemplate in it its diverse beauty? Why this village ring so true to us but seem so far away at the same time?

We hear noises, loud noises that make our mind bubble and our emotions restless. Our collective inner silence has never been so thirsty for our attention but where is our attention? To whom did we forfeit it to ? where to look for an answer ?
The answer is in our collective silence, the silence that will reveal to us our multiplicity and our unity; in everything! One but many and many but one. There will be no right nor wrong in this power struggle not as much as our pinky is more right than our liver.
I am writing this for the mocking bird that watches us from his tree…
