Welcome to this week's CloudBites weekly, where we have a mix of exciting items covering many different parts of the platform. And a week with no mention of AI! So let's jump in.
HTTP Mock Router V1.1
This week, HTTP Mock Router v1.1 was released with a few new updates to make it easier for developers to test various API callouts using custom metadata.
I've never used this tool, but I cannot wait to try it out on some items I am working on, including the latest Sandbox Session series. The framework allows you to configure mock HTTP responses as custom metadata, making it simpler to manage various routes and responses without needing lots of custom mock implementations or classes. Thank you, Piotr Ko?uchowski for sharing. You can see his post announcing the update with a link to the library here.
Setup and Trial New Revenue Cloud Products
Going forward, Salesforce will be focussing on its Revenue Cloud Advanced product instead of the previous CPQ offering, which should be a simple core solution that will be easier to integrate with other systems and solutions than CPQ currently is.
Skylar R. has shared a fantastic guide on how you can get trials for this new product spun up and ready for you to test out and use. You can find Skylar's post detailing all the steps here. If you are involved in any finance, revenue, CPQ, sales or related apps this is one you are definitely going to want to look into.
New Salesforce Labs Data Cloud Error App
Marianna Torres from Salesforce shared a new app had been released by the Salesforce Labs team this week to help make it easier to view and manage errors within Data Cloud.
As you can read in Marianna's post here, the app shares notifications of errors and issues in configurations through Flow, making it much easier to get notified. If you are looking at or working with Data Cloud, this is likely to be an app you will want to have installed.
Data Cloud in Sandboxes GA
The above app is even more useful with the news that Data Cloud in sandboxes is now GA!
The Salesforce Platform team shared this announcement and a link to a video from Dreamforce to help you get up and running earlier this week. If you haven't used Data Cloud yet you can now try it out in your sandbox first to make sure you are comfortable and have tested thoroughly before going to Production.
Getting Started With Modern AppExchange Development Blog
James Quinn , a Director of Product Management on the Platform team at Salesforce, shared a new blog post on the Salesforce Developers Blog this week to help anyone get up and running in building apps on the AppExchange.
As many of you know, I run an ISV, Groundwork Apps , and this resource would have been invaluable when starting off. If you have ever thought about building your own AppExchange app or even wanted to know more about packaging for deploying solutions repeatedly, you should head over and read the full blog here.
That's a wrap!
That's it for another week. Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you found it helpful and interesting. Remember to subscribe and share with a colleague or friend who may also find it helpful, and let me know if you see something you think people should see or know about.
Have a great weekend!
