A Mobile World Congress Barcelona preview

A Mobile World Congress Barcelona preview

2023 was quite a year in the markets, but it didn’t keep us from pushing the envelope of progress regarding our offerings. It is almost time for one of the most influential telecom events we attend each year: Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. I want to share a few things we’re excited to discuss with our customers as we help them transform their business to the power of?n.

The speaker lineup we have for MWC is extensive. From smart mobility for connected industries and the road to digital transformation in manufacturing to the future of networking, diversity in tech, and programmable networks, we are addressing what is top of mind in the industry today. We also have sessions on the future of Generative AI in business, AI-powered networks, and strategies for dealing with AI-driven threats in cybersecurity.

As far as our solutions are concerned, we have an array of demos showcasing CSP and enterprise opportunities to harness the exponential potential of networks. We have multiple demos on autonomous operations, including service and network operations and slice monetization. We illustrate edge charging, private wireless core for large enterprises, 5G-connected drones, and the launch of our MX Industrial Edge (MXIE) workmate solution, the first operational technology-compliant GenAI assistant for connected workers. More GenAI is present in our Cybersecurity Dome with its telco-trained assistant, and this is one of several solutions we offer in a SaaS model.? In the monetization space, we have multiple examples of programmable networks and open digital ecosystems.

We are a platinum sponsor for the Open Gateway Devcon summit featured throughout MWC this year, highlighting our commitment to ecosystems and open APIs. Developers will be building applications that employ the principles of the Open Gateway Initiative during a real-time hackathon run by GSMA. The selection of our Network as Code as the sole platform for the hackathon makes us incredibly proud.

That isn’t the only place to find us outside of our booth. We are present in many booths with our partners as well. You can find us at Microsoft with our 5G SA mobile core on their new Azure Operator Nexus platform and our Cybersecurity Dome using their Security Copilot GenAI. We are at Intel with Nokia 5G packet core demonstrating power savings and our Enterprise Edge RAN solution illustrating footprint optimization, each leveraging Intel technology. Google is showing our 5G packet core on their distributed edge, Nokia AVA Analytics on their cloud platform, and our AVA Data Suite integrated with their GenAI. In the Dell booth, the Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) solution is showcased as their preferred private wireless platform for enterprise edge use cases. Finally, we have Redhat, VMWare and Salesforce rounding out our partner presence.

?

On one last note, we are shortlisted for two GLOMO awards at the show. Our Cybersecurity Dome is a contender, as is our enterprise submission spotlighting the world’s first nationwide drone network for Belgium’s emergency services.

It’s going to be an amazing event again this year, and I look forward to plenty of great conversations with customers, partners, old friends and new ones. Here’s to a great MWC 2024!
