Mobile Voting Today

Mobile Voting Today

Perhaps you're a planner or an eager beaver and have already voted. Good on you. The rest of us woke up this morning with the realization that today is the last day to vote. Going to the dentist sounds so much more enjoyable, doesn’t it?

You can avoid the long lines by voting on your phone or online. Oh, wait, sorry. That’s in Estonia. This is the United States.

In Estonia, more than one-third of the population votes electronically.?So that begs the question; What are the top concerns for mobile voting in the U.S.? Here are the great eight:

  1. Cyber Security risks
  2. Privacy risks
  3. Lack of trust
  4. Fear of fraud and identity theft
  5. New technology anxiety
  6. Limited customer service in case of issues
  7. Disparities in access to technology
  8. What happens when voting percentages increase from 55% to 95%?

With the exception of #8, these were the same concerns around why we would NEVER pay with our credit card online (hello 1996). How did that play out??

The question isn’t if we will vote for the president online, the question is when.?

Personally, I’d like it to be today.?

Do you agree?

"I came for the sticker. I stayed for the democracy."
