“A Mobile Device which can change its OS and with No Sim Card”
Imagine a new era where a mobile device which has no OS installed and No Sim Card added to it. Can this happen ? Let start from its basics the Sim Card.
SIM card is internationally identified by its Integrated circuit card identifier (ICC-ID), which is engraved on the body of the card. It is also identified by the carrier with its International mobile subscriber identity (IMSI). Essentially, these two numbers tell the carrier that your phone is allowed to operate on its network and, once connected, should be billed for certain features.
Okay we have some thing called "Mobile Portability" So why can’t we have "Service Portability" using the same existing simcard or a inbuilt simcard. User just has to provide 3 number to the new service provider and they are ICC-ID, IMSI and Mobile number “Hooo” he also needs to inform the older service provider about his/her service change. Can this be done? I am having a wild imagination ….
Let’s come back to Mobile device "hmmm" no OS but how will the device work ? you need some system to make the mobile work right ? Okay let's go back to older days, my older phone had no OS as it was a simple basic phone. Older phone had no operating system they worked on simple S30 (Series 30). Okay but I need a smart phone which has a touch screen internet and many more.
Let’s imagine again .. We have a featured mobile with a touch screen and to use this mobile user needs to enter a password. As soon user enters a password it verifies the user and will try to connect to the internet so that it can access a cloud based virtual mobile-home screen just like a virtual desktop but here its OS can be changed as per the users requirement and in this the user can install all his/her apps and use them just like our present smart phones. User can also upgrade his OS or memory as we do it on cloud. No worries about the hardware its all in cloud and easy to handle as per the requirement. What if there is no internet hmm ? Don't worry it will still work but just as a normal basic phone where you can do calling.
We can do this ? Let me know your wild thoughts :)
