Mobile Apps for Talent Wellness Part 2 – Engagement

Many employers are looking for new and innovative ways to improve employee engagement. Although many larger employers use survey companies such as Gallup and People Pulse, there are ways to continue the employee engagement efforts throughout the year. One of those ways is the utilization of Talent Wellness mobile applications. Below are some of the ideas of how to use a mobile application to improve employee engagement.

1. A mobile application tool could provide data that has been collected from employee engagement surveys so that leaders are informed of current people and culture data.

2. Staff and leader developed employee engagement actions plans may be reviewed an updated on a mobile application. Employees may provide comments and feedback on work environment improvements needed and leaders may update on progress made based on employee feedback.

3. The mobile application could also send out pulse surveys to gather employee comments and see if there is an opportunity for improvement in staff morale.

4. The mobile application may provide easy links to employee resources such as the employee benefits portal, employee directory and contact information, and company wellness programs.

5. Vital company information may be at the leader and employees finger tips such as company mission, vision, and values, company goals and strategic vision, current information on company financial performance, customer satisfaction, and quality outcome results. 

6. A major area of reduced employee engagement is the lack of communication at all levels of the organization. The use of an employee engagement related mobile application will improve communication up and down the organization and potentially increase the trust of senior leadership and staff.
