Moab - A Weekend Adventure

One of the best things about living in Southwest Colorado is our proximity to so many adventures year-round. This time of year, as we are in that time frame between fall and winter, it’s the perfect time to take advantage of an easy trip and perhaps get a touch warmer weather.

The Utah desert is a local favorite. Moab offers restaurants, hiking, camping, and some of the best mountain biking in the world for all skill levels. It’s about three hours from Durango, which makes it an easy overnight or weekend trip. You’ll notice the home of many film locations, which is a fun adventure!

Arches National Park is located here, and full of some of the most beautiful formations you’ll ever see. Canyonlands National Park is about thirty minutes from Moab, and showcases redrock woodcut engraved by wind and water, with two rivers in the middle of it.

The topography in Moab and its surrounding areas is some of the most beautiful scenery in America, and it’s uniquely different from the mountains in our corner of Colorado. We are fortunate to live within easy distance of this unique landscape, and the natural playground it offers! If you’re looking for a fun and unique adventure, Moab is a great option.
