MNW Make the Network Wonderful
The completion of Taylors Road Kororoit Creek Bridge forms an important connection for the West community, providing convenient access to both new and existing facilities, and a vital link across Melton municipality for residents.
City of Melton is one of Australia's fastest growing municipalities. With over 173,000 residents and a population set to triple over the next 30 years, caring for our community's diverse needs is no easy task.
This growth is the driving force behind the strategic approach to planning and development, and the reason why the construction of Taylors Road Kororoit Creek Bridge is so important.
This vital piece of infrastructure is a great outcome for residents living in eastern corridor, linking Caroline Springs, Burnside Heights, Taylors Hill and even Hillside, directly to the thriving Aintree hub.
A project of this size and complexity cannot be undertaken without the cooperation of Council, developers, landowners, consultants, the patience of the local community, and most importantly, the technical skills of Department of Transport Teams (MNW External Projects, Geo-technical Risk Management & Integration - Structure Team).
Our strong working relationship with Woodlea (the developer) is greatly valued, not only by Melton Council, but also by the residents who no doubt appreciate our capacity to work together to provide valuable services and facilities for everyone to enjoy.
I'd like to congratulate the internal and external stakeholders who made this project successful. Project partners from DoT are Richard Beswick, Babak Mirfalah, Justin Slater, Anthony Roberts, Paul Sing and Marlon Bravo.
