The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) has granted provisional enlistment to additional solar PV module models from two companies under its Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-1. This decision is based on the MNRE’s order dated May 10, 2023.

GH2 Solar Pvt Ltd has secured a landmark 105 MW electrolyser manufacturing capacity tender from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), marking a significant advance in India’s green hydrogen sector. This achievement is supported by a substantial Rs. 157.5 Crore subsidy under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has issued new regulations called the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Deviation Settlement Mechanism and Related Matters) Regulations, 2024. These regulations, set to take effect from September 16, 2024, aim to maintain grid stability by ensuring that grid users adhere to their scheduled electricity drawal and injection.

Recently, both the Central Ministry of Power and the state of Maharashtra have been working to increase renewable energy integration into the power grid, notably through the Panchamrit scheme. This initiative aims for 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 and to have 50% of electricity consumption come from renewable sources by the same year.
