MNP - How To Port-In Your Current Mobile Connections To BSNL

I am writing this short article to guide how Indian Subscribers can port-in their mobile connections to BSNL from other Private players.

All the Private Telcos in India have unilaterally increased their tariffs quite significantly and some of them are forcing their subscribers to buy high value data packages to access 5G network.

Due to obvious reasons BSNL did not grow like others, but it's the time to make use of this Public Telco for services like Voice, SMS and for the requirements where we need to keep a secondary mobile connections just to get Bank OTPs, etc.

Some of the common terminologies related to MNP:-

Donor: Existing Service Providers (Private Telco Players)

Recipient: New Service Provider where Subscribers want to move their telephony services (BSNL)

Port IN: Activating or Moving Subscribers into Recipient's Network

Port OUT: Moving out or deactivating Subscribers from Donor Networks

Below is the sequence diagram on how Mobile Subscribers can Port-IN their connections to BSNL (Recipient's Network):

You can reach out to me incase of any further clarifications.

Happy Learning!
