MITIE Planning day 2025

MITIE is pleased to share a recap of our recent Steering Committee planning session held at the AISNSW conference room on 20 and 21 February 2025. Over two days we came together to map out the year ahead and discussed key topics including hiring an administrative assistant/event coordinator, launching the Mitie Mentor program, refining our sponsorship model, planning events, exploring changes to our constitution, assigning responsibilities to committee members, building partnerships, expanding membership and more.

We would like to extend a warm thank you to our new Steering Committee members Lance Gierhart from Regional NSW and Stephanie Quin from NZ for bringing fresh perspectives to our discussions. We also appreciate the continued contributions of our longstanding committee members Brenton Harty (President) from VIC, Fred Shu (VP) from NSW, Michael Smith (Secretary) from NSW, Tim Griffin (Treasurer) from NSW and Mike Parker who connected remotely from Regional NSW.

A special thank you goes to Maurice Cummins and the AISNSW team for hosting us and making us feel so welcome. We are inspired by the insights and plans developed during our session and look forward to a successful year filled with networking and professional development opportunities for IT professionals in independent schools across Australia.
