MITI SUPPORTS THE EMPOWHER PROJECT FOR GENDER EQUALITY AND INCLUSIVENESS
MITI believes in the importance of a more equitable, fair and inclusive world of work and is committed to promoting real change around the world.
As a long-time supporter of Amref Health Africa, MITI is pleased to have joined the EmpowHer project promoted by this organization, which aims to encourage the well-being and female empowerment and gender equality of African women and girls, so that they can achieve equal opportunities in work and life.
The objectives of this important project were presented on November 21, in Milan, during the event "EmpowHer. Voices of Women Who Are Shaping the Future", organized by Amref Italia, with the support of Fondazione Riccardo Catella, with the patronage of the Municipality of Milan, the contribution of Fondazione AEM, Fondazione Cariplo and our company.
It was an emotional evening, full of guests, animated by the stories of young women who fight against gender violence, in Africa and in Italy, by the participation of various personalities from the world of entertainment and culture and by the presentation of important initiatives.

First of all, the EmphowHer Alliance, a new network of women managers and philanthropists committed to promoting gender equality and creating equal opportunities to achieve a more equal society. The Empower Fund was also launched, which Amref Health Africa makes available to people, companies, foundations and philanthropists interested in investing in women's empowerment, particularly in Africa, but also in Italy. This fund will finance activities that concern women's health, education and training, as well as climate change and access to water. Investments that - as Amref Health Africa claims - can generate "multiple long-term impacts and deep and lasting changes, improving the health, economic and social conditions of communities that, like those in sub-Saharan Africa, are featured by deeper and more rooted gender inequalities".
