My mentor has been encouraging me to serve as many men as I can.

To pour into as many lives as I possibly can. Sharing the wisdom and revelations that God has been teaching and walking me through.

When I was going through the worst times of my life and marriage, I didn't have anyone that I trusted. I didn't have a mentor. Mostly because I withdrew myself from anyone who could help me. It's hard for a man to admit he needs help. My wife jokes that I used to be a "Bottler". I would take all of the stress and bottle it up and lock it away. Trying not to think about it or let it effect me. You can probably guess how well that worked out.

I know that God has arranged men on our paths, designed to bring out the best in us. Here are a couple of great examples in the bible;

Jeremiah 6:16 (NKJV)

16 Thus says the Lord:

“Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is,

And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls.

But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor.

10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls,

For he has no one to help him up.

Mentors are there because they have obtained what you are trying to obtain. They are there to help you take the most appropriate steps in life.
