Mistakes

I and my father were talking something and abruptly he asked me what happened? He said you are looking a little upset and asked me to tell him why I was upset.
After the little drama of me saying nothing happened, I opened up with him. I can't really lie to him, he just finds out within no time as we share a great bond more than just father-daughter but friendship.
I said to him that I just wasted two days doing nothing productive and that hampered my schedule and now I am feeling guilty and angry on myself as to why I did so.
Now I expected him to get angry with me but he just said-BEFORE DOING THE MISTAKE YOU SHOULD THINK HUNDREDS OF TIME AND NOW THAT IT IS DONE DON'T MENTION IT. WHAT DONE IS DONE JUST THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN DO TO RECTIFY IT AND TRY NOT TO REPEAT THE MISTAKE.
I thought upon it and realized it was correct. Just thinking of it was making me more upset and not productive. Just like inquisitive I am, I asked him why he didn't get angry on me because whenever I waste my time he is the one scolding me. He replied saying because that times you don't realize you are wasting your time and I have to scold you and make you realize that but now you told me you're guilty and there's no point in scolding when you realize it.
So in a nutshell,
Mistakes happen and it's okay to do mistakes. But you must know them and get a lesson out of it and try to not commit it further because its the only proactive approach.
Don't MISS the take in MISTAKES...
