You can make plenty of mistakes while launching a social media marketing campaign.

From a basic mistake to a massive blunder, i've compiled a list of the most common mistakes businesses make when running their business on social media.


1. Not having a plan in place before you start running your social media campaigns

You need to have a strategy for what you will do on social media and how you will use it. This includes your target audience, the platform(s) you will use, and the goals you have set for yourself.


2. Lack of budget

You must have a budget for your social media marketing campaign. It should be realistic and achievable for your business but also real enough so that it helps achieve your goals with regards to increasing traffic, leads, or sales.

You also need to ensure that you do not go over budget by spending more than what is required by law or industry standards (if applicable).


3. Failure to Use Social Media Platforms That is Relevant to Your Business

Make sure that you are using the right types of platforms when it comes to running a social media marketing campaign for your business!

You might consider using multiple platforms simultaneously depending on what type of content or messages appeal most to different audiences. For example, if your target.


4. Posting Too Many Times Per Day

The first mistake that many people make when they start using social media is trying to reach everyone at once.

This can lead to over-posting and annoying your followers, so you need to pick a time frame for your posts (for example, Monday through Friday at noon). Once you’ve decided on this, then stick with it!

Before you think about launching a social media campaign, you need to know your target audience and what they want from your brand.

Never assume your product or services are the best in the market. Let that come from customers. How can you know that? By testing and testing until you connect with the right audience.
