Mission update: building a new Medical Records platform

The reason I took on the challenge of building a new medical record platform was because I saw how frustrating it was for healthcare professional and patients when the computer is slow or just crashes on a basic task. Like most of us, deep down (or not so deep!) I love the NHS unconditionally for the care I have experienced at my most vulnerable moments. For me, access to healthcare is a human necessity that I value deeply, and am proud to live in a society that has made it available for our whole community at the point of need.?

As much as my earnest love may bring a smile to a weary clinician’s face for a second, it won’t change the reality that NHS staff are working harder than ever, in emotionally tough jobs. To change that reality, requires more. With my skill set and experience in software and health policy, for me that means building a better medical record.?

It has been a ‘mission’, a passion-project and a dedication of love for the NHS in a way that I can not really put into words or justify to my family. Eva has come on a long journey. The first 30-odd years as Microtest, and then after the revamp as Eva Health Technologies when I took the helm. We have built excellent tech and proved a number of doubters wrong. Last week we started talking about our latest developments and why they are so powerful in how they have been designed. To be ICS-ready, to be more resilient and secure, to be faster and accessible from outside the four walls of the clinic. This represents a step change from legacy tech and yet only the start of more exciting things to come.??

This is a massive team effort from brilliant people who have believed in our mission and put the best of themselves into building something new. This platform is dedicated to the NHS, from the mission-driven team at Eva.?
