I once learned about a person who would record 1 second of every day of his life. He had a whole collection of every video he had made in the past years. There was a very specific one of a brick wall. That 1-second video of a brick wall was incredibly impactful because it reminded him of the very day that a loved family member passed away. Like that one, there were also various other 1 second videos that reminded him of numerous days of his life that stood out. It’s interesting because if we sit down and really think about it, our life is an accumulation of days. Just like Annie Dillard said:
Just like in this challenge, there is beauty in every single day that I’ve lived during this challenge. Mastering your day is such a key ability to have an agile life.
On Day 57, we talked about one of the fundamental pillars of my goal to be in the best shape of my life, meal planning. Some time ago, I would view eating as something that we just had to do in order to have energy throughout the day. In the past few years, I have learned that it is not the case at all. The human being is either running away from pain or running toward pleasure. If I want to make this a part of my lifestyle, I need to enjoy what I eat. This is why one of the strategies that I want to share is my recipe notes. Every time I get a new recipe that aligns with my lifestyle, I write it down to have it as inspiration when meal prepping for breakfast, lunch, or even snacks.
On Day 58, I shared with you one of the things you have been asking - what do I eat throughout my day? I start my day with fruit tea and then after my morning workout, I prepare breakfast from 8-9 am. In this case, it was eggs with egg whites, tomatoes, onions, and garlic. I accompanied this with avocado or cheese and whole-grain crackers. After that, at 1 pm we eat a snack that is high in protein. In this case, it was greek yogurt with a spoon of protein powder, chia, sliced almonds, and fruits. Finally, we eat around 4 pm a salad with my secret weapon… shredded chicken. We always like to close out the day with something sweet, this is why I have bags of individual fruit gummies. After this, we fast until the next day.
On Day 59, I have a few tips to help every one of you with one thing that we tend to struggle with - our self-confidence. Confidence is vital to any goal that we set for ourselves since it is what will give us the energy and motivation to take action. This is why today, I am sharing some ways to increase it. These are the following 4 tips that I recommend to increase your confidence:
Let me know in the comments if you would like part 2 of these tips!
On Day 60, I shared more about my goal of going out of my comfort zone and becoming a digital nomad. Today we visited San Miguel de Allende in Mexico and on these dates it is extra special because the Day of the Death or “El Dia de los Muertos'' is celebrated. This festivity was declared a cultural heritage by UNESCO and it takes place on the 1st and 2nd of November of every year. The purpose of this festivity is to honor and celebrate the lives of the dead, our passed loved ones, and the exemplary dead. The 1st of November is the day in which we remember the kids that are dead and on the 2nd of November is when we remember the adults that are dead. You’d think, just like I did, that this was a motive for sadness, but it is all the opposite. This is a happy festivity because we are remembering and CELEBRATING the lives of our loved ones. They are days that are filled with colors, festivities, and traditions to share with family.
Two of the most common traditions are that families visit the graves to decorate the tombstones with flowers and offerings. In the households, it is common for people to set up an altar with various levels of those that have died in the family. Sort of like an ancestry tree. On the altar there are photos of those who have passed away, candles to illuminate the path to their souls, traditional candies, or anything that our loved ones used to like.?
Even though the main purpose is to honor and remember our ancestors, it is inevitable to think and reflect on how we want to be remembered. That is the question that I have for all of you today as a reflection. When you are no longer in this physical world, how will you want your family, friends, colleagues, and community to remember you? What Legacy do you want to leave behind and what can you do TODAY so that you can make it a reality??
On Day 61, we continued progressing on my goal to relaunch my agile life coach business. A few days ago, I started my sessions back up again with my coach. Now that I am in the last stretch of this challenge, I need that extra support. I need a person who can keep me accountable and who accompanies me in this last phase. Since I am a certified coach, I have access to an incredible community of coaches. So after completing my coaching session, I reflected upon the fact that for one reason or another, there are people out there who do not have access to a coach. That is why today I will share with you an activity you can do to coach yourself. In this case, I will use my career example for better understanding.?

First, right on a blank piece of paper 4 words: beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and actions. Then, write two titles: “current: and “new”. Now begin to reflect by writing your emotions and current actions and reverse engineer - followed by your beliefs and thoughts. Then continue with the “new” ones. I will leave my example here:
Here is the "new":
On Day 62, I share with you guys my second method for coaching yourself. To start, we need to make a circle and divide it into 5 parts where we will write the following:
“What” refers to what you would like to accomplish, “why” is the motive or the reason, “how” is the steps you will take to complete it, “when” is the deadline for each activity, and “who” is your accountability buddy.?
For example, my “what” was: re-launch my website. My “why” was: credibility, confidence, and having a hub for my services. My “how” included completing the copy, photos, and design. My “when” is by the 7th and 15th of November. My “who” is Karina and Santi.
On Day 63, I shared with you my morning routine! I have the same format all 7 days of the week, so let’s get started.?
I wake up at around 6:30 am. The first thing I do is brush my teeth, apply my face cream, and change to go to the gym. Before I leave, I make sure to make my bed. If you haven’t already read the book “Make your Bed”, there are a ton of benefits of this daily habit, with the main one giving you a sense of pride and accomplishment. It will encourage you to do another task, and another, and another. And by the end of the day, that one task completed will have turned into many tasks completed. Then, I fill in my water bottle with 2 liters of water, and with a beautiful view, I write down my manifestations and what I am grateful for and I meditate for about 10 minutes.
?Then, I head to the gym. What I love about going in the morning is that I have the gym all to myself. After going to the gym I prepare breakfast. On the weekends my breakfast usually consists of green spinach pancakes. After eating, I check my to-do list for the day. These are planned ahead and defined every Sunday, but I do modify them if necessary as the week plays out. When I revise my to-do list, I list them by priority. I ask myself a very important question. If I only had time to do? 3 activities today, which ones would they be? Stay tuned for the following days where I will share how the rest of the day plays out.
Week nine is done, 5 more to go! Join me in this journey as I turn this so-called “setback” into the best opportunity of my life.
