Mission Possible - Week 8

Mission Possible - Week 8

I will never forget my wedding week. It will forever have a very special place in my heart and memories. Now it is time to focus on my other goals. Time to get back on track to doing what I love every day.? As Seth Godin once said:

That’s the focus of week 8, continue creating a life that I look forward to living every single day of my life, so let’s get started!

Wow, we are halfway through our goal. Today marks Day 50. For this day my focus was on working on my career goal that I defined as re-launching my business as an agile life coach. One of the pillars for this re-launch was updating my brand. The first step was to understand my audience. To do this, I created a survey that? 200 people responded. This gave me insights into who they are and what they are looking for. I used this as the foundation for my next step which was to choose an agency or supplier.

We started by defining what we are looking for or what we call the “scope of work”. The more specific, the better. This part included creating a timeline, budget, and deliverables for the agency. Then, we started looking for suppliers. Santi helped me with this part by messaging his network and looking for suppliers on platforms like Fiverr. Next, we selected 3 suppliers for an intro call to explain to them what we were looking for and receive proposals.

There are 3 factors that are super important for me when choosing a supplier.?

  • The first one is to evaluate their proposal vs. our brief.??
  • The second one is their experience. I review this by asking them for examples of their previous work with other companies.?
  • The last one is their involvement, passion, and energy for the project. I evaluate this in the intro meeting by paying attention to what questions they asked and how they react to the project.?

? On Day 51, we had the great revelation of my updated brand image. Before I show you, it is important for you to know that this would not have been possible without my team: Karina and Sabri who are experts in strategy, Santi who is my challenger, and Joss, the mastermind behind all the visual parts of the brand. I could not have done this without them. Joss first presented us with an exhaustive analysis of my current brand and its position with my competition. Then, she presented us with her recommendation for the three elements of a brand: the logo, the colors, and the typography. We LOVED it. I was really impressed with how she took these elements and brought my proposition to life.

On Day 52, I shared with you my preparation to create my online course which is one of the pillars to re-launch my coaching business. The first step was to pick a topic to talk about. I confess that my original plan was to re-launch my brand with 3 online courses that were level 1 of the Bootcamp that I have already taught to hundreds of my clients. After discussing it with Santi and looking at the pros and cons, we decided to focus on the first and most fundamental one, "How to define your goals in an agile way”.?

After choosing the topic, my next step was to create an outline and course structure that would be easy to follow, taking into consideration that this will be a self-paced course. To do this, Karina and I looked for dozens of popular courses that we’ve seen or completed in the past. After creating the structure and validating it with past clients, the next step was to fill it up with information from my courses and identify what information was missing to fill in the gaps. This is how we completed the script for all of the content. The last step was to create the presentation. And now we are ready to record!

On Day 53, we recorded everything that we had prepared on the previous day. Honestly, 80% of the work was done BEFORE recording. The script and the presentation are the most important elements as long as you have all of the necessary equipment for recording. Great acknowledgment to my team, primarily to BRAVO productions led by Carlos, the mastermind behind the camera. We started the day getting ready while the production team organized the set. We ran some tests on the equipment to make sure that everything was in order. Now, it was time to start recording! Recording 1 by 1, we finished the 30 interactive videos for this masterclass. Another great takeaway from this experience was the importance of having someone that shares your vision behind the camera. In this case, it was my husband, Santi, who made me repeat various takes until it would reach the quality standard that we were looking for.?

On Day 54, I shared more about my health goal that I defined as being in the best shape of my life. The last couple of weeks have been filled with events and this has made this goal quite difficult to focus on. I am happy to report that even though we have had a small deviation, we are still on track to completing our goal. I would like to share with you some of the learnings I’ve had from this experience so far:

  1. RELAX: With all of the events we were having, of course we were going to step out of our daily habits and routines. The important thing is to remember that we want to reach harmony amongst our different areas of life, and if I had worried about the calories I was consuming or maintaining our habits during these days, this wouldn't have let us enjoy every second of each event we had.
  2. STAY HYDRATED: It is very common for us to confuse hunger with thirst. Make sure to keep a water bottle handy wherever you go!
  3. STAY ACTIVE: Yes, you will be out of your routine, but that doesn’t mean you cannot get creative to stay active. Actually, this is the perfect time to try new things like swimming, dancing, yoga, or even a simple walk.?
  4. USE YOUR TOOLBOX: Two habits that I always kept in mind during these weeks were intermittent fasting and meditation.

On Day 55, I shared more about another one of my pillars for re-launching my business. This pillar is updating my website. For this, we need a professional photoshoot and I chose my preferred vendor for such an important task, Bravo Productions. Today I will share more about how we prepared for the session. I first had an initial meeting with Carlos in which I told him what I was looking for and also took the time to explain to him my requirements, and photos inspo by my friend at Wabersocial agency. Then, we went scouting places that were a fit for our concept. After searching for a while, we found a lovely co-working spot. This was exactly what we were looking for. Finally, Carlos and I had another pre-production meeting, and after completing the checklist for outfits and props, we finished the preparation and now are ready for the photoshoot day!

On Day 56, we had our photoshoot to re-launch my website. My day started at 5 am when we got up and got ready. We then headed to the co-working site where the photoshoot would take place. Upon arrival, we organized ourselves by deciding which photos we wanted first, where and with what outfit. It was SUPER COOL. The production team has been phenomenal. The help and dedication that they have given to this project have been incredible. We spent 2 and half hours of shooting and we got all of the photos we were looking for. I can’t wait to show you all the final result

Week eight is done, 6 more to go! Join me in this journey as I turn this so-called “setback” into the best opportunity of my life.
