Mission Impossible

Elon Musk is someone who dreams big. Traveling around the world anywhere in one hour, hyperloop underground travel, reusable rockets, those are some big ideas. Compared with those big ideas, Tesla feels like a child’s play. The society needs someone who thinks big.

Most of us do not dream as big as Elon Mask, but everyone should have dreams. Many aim too low in their dreams because they underestimate their own abilities. The truth is, we would not know our personal limits until we test them. The other mental barrier for many is the fear of failure. Failure happens all the time. When we are scared of being unsuccessful, we tend to set the sights low. Quoting Jeff Bezos, hitting every target is a clear sign that goals had been set too low. It is true for businesses as well as individuals

Over one hundred years ago on March 4, 1917, Rep. Jeannette Rankin, R-Mt., became the first woman to serve in the U.S. Congress. Rankin's election was extraordinary, as it happened about three years before U.S. women had the right to vote. But although she herself couldn't vote at the time, Rankin found that there were no laws restricting women from holding federal office.

Sixty years ago, President John F Kennedy declared in a joint Congress session that we will send American on the moon and return them safely by the end of the decade. Eight years later, Apollo 11 successfully carried Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to the moon and made a giant step in human history. "We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard," are the inspirational words by President Kennedy that continue to be associated with ambition and leadership.

Martin Luther King had a dream that one day people would not be judged by the color of their skins, but by the content of their character which led to the triumph of the civil rights movement.

There will always be naysayers, but they did not stop the pioneers. Of course, a dream does not become reality through magic. It takes sweat, determination, hard work, and sometimes luck. Have a vision, aspire and work hard. Nothing is impossible. The dream of yesterday is the hope of today and reality of tomorrow.

Great Xinjin Zhao dreams are dormant possibilities which are waiting activation. Many dreams remain piped and caged. We need to be deliberate and take strides towards our dreams. At the organisational level the vision is the dream that need rail guards to be achieved. With the digital age lurking we need to accelerate the visions and reduce the lag.

Xinjin Zhao Thanks you very much for all inspiring and encouraging articles! Sometimes I wonder how those who achieved their big dreams overcome the fear of failures and how they make their dreams come true.
