Not missing the wood for the trees

15 years, 4 industries, 7 organisations - I've basically been a professional chameleon. Strategy, business development, you name it - I've done it all. While grinding through my day job, I was secretly collecting skills like Pokémon cards. My mission? Build a skillset so flexible it could do backflips across industries. No boxes, no labels, no limits. Sounds good, right? Not so fast

The moment of truth

Life in the UK was good, but it didn't scratch my real itch. I was stuck in the monthly paycheck trap, too scared to chase my big dream. Prospect theory 101, right? I'd joke about being a late bloomer, like Van Gogh. That guy tried everything-art dealing, teaching, even preaching - before he picked up a paintbrush for good. This was my moment of truth. Time to ditch the comfort zone, take some risks and tackle that nagging problem I'd spotted years ago.

Houston, we have a problem

So what’s the nagging problem? As electric vehicles ramp up, we're left with a tricky challenge. New battery electric vehicles (BEVs) are getting heavier, gobbling up more minerals from specific global hotspots, and demanding higher battery performance. Translation? Potentially sky-high energy and material costs. The result? Urban commuters are stuck with Hobson’s choice: shell out big bucks for big EVs or stick with outdated mobility options.

From a drop to the Ocean

I reconnected with my fellow WBS alum Gowtham, whom I had brainstormed the idea with on many occasions only to put it off until a more opportune time. We both knew that the time was now. That brings me to the role that 英国华威大学 - 华威商学院 plays in getting professionals from different walks of life to exchange ideas & collaborate. A huge shoutout to 英国华威大学 - 华威商学院 & its faculty, staff & administration for fuelling our entrepreneurial ambitions.

The rubber meets the road

Together with Gowtham Sridharamurthy , whose entrepreneurial drive keeps us pushing forward, Manoj Makadia , with his deep expertise in technology leadership, and Deepak Mohan , with his specialization in vehicle engineering, we formed a well-rounded team. Our co-creation, Mink EV , designs and builds minimalistic & intuitive electric vehicles for the future.

?Epilogue

So how do I know that I have found my true calling? That’s because I no longer feel the need to ask myself that question.
