I didn’t realize I was MISSING something so simple!
?
As you know I am a full-time RV’er, and even though I am with my husband and experience different places and sights I’ve found myself a little “closed off” to others at the RV parks ~ not intentionally, I think it has a lot to do with being in locations temporarily.
Also, with all the “busyness" of work, traveling, and doing things, I started to lose sight of the human & in-person connection, something so simple that creates new bonds.
This experience I am about to share stems from my Less IS More series that I've recently launched. I decided to LIVE the approach of letting go destructive thoughts, become more present, and focus on what I want MORE of in my life.
I started to use the affirmation after my morning meditation, “I LOVE co-creating with others, and I invite NEW people into my life.”
I repeated this with enthusiasm, joy, and appreciation because it is TRUE, and it FEELS GOOD!
?
?Guess what happened?
?
The next day I met a new friend in the laundry room at the RV park.
As I was fetching my laundry, we started talking. I soon discovered we shared a lot of the same interests, and she asked if I’d like to walk with her sometime. Without a second thought, I happily accepted the invitation.
The next day we walked together, and soon found out that she is also a Reiki practitioner, her grandmother is also of Native American decent, and she too is seeking MORE in her life.
Curious how "things like that happen," as most people say, but in reality, it isn't coincidence, because the interaction had A LOT to do with my Intention.
?
?How can it get better than this?!!

After our second walk, I asked her for a hug and with a beaming smile she said, “I would LOVE that.” We shared a lovely long hug as I felt the connection and her warm heart, and both laughed at the same time.
Hugs open us up, connects our hearts to others, and reminds us that we are safe and supported.
As humans we crave connection, even when we are wanting isolation…if you are scrolling on FB or other social media that is a tale sign you are SEEKING engagement and connection.
?When was the last time you hugged someone?
?A REAL hug (not just a lean in and pat on the back) where you wrap your arms around them, feel their presence, and breathe in the wonderful connection & endorphins with appreciation & love.
?
If it’s not possible to be physically present with a loved one, why not CALL them and connect instead of texting. The sound of a voice is just as comforting as a hug, and maybe they need YOU more than you realize.
