Missing Link In The Rashmani Ramkrishna- Vivekananda & Ma Sarada Connect

Rani Rashmoni, Sri Sri Ramkrishna , Swami Vivekananda and Ma Sarada formed a square that gave the world a new dimension. I will call it a dimension is that Hindu religion which had no recognition came to the fore at the Parliament of Religions held in September, 1893. Sri Sri Ramkrishna preached practical Vedanta through his disciple Swami Vivekananda gave a new approach to Hindu religion. Sri Sri Ramkrishna had left behind his consort Ma Sarada to remain a guide to Naren ( Swami Vivekananda) throughout. She?died?at 1.30 am on Tuesday the 21 July 1920 at Mayer Badi (in the first floor of the Shrine Room), Kolkata. Her body?was?cremated at the Belur Math,?Swami Vivekananda had died on 4th July, 1902 at Belur. Both died in the month of July.

But it was a Scottish namely, William Hastie, Principal of ?General Assembly's Institution at Calcutta who spoke to the class in Presidency College which was attended by Narendra Nath Dutta ( Swami Vivekananda ) on Sri Sri Ramkrishna .

A Professor left the classroom when the students failed to understand his explanation of the poem, `The Excursion' written by William Wordsworth .? Professor Hastie decided to take the class which was left unfinished. Professor started his lecture .Even though Professor Hastie explained the lines of the poem with his heart, the listeners could not grasp what he wanted to tell them. To make it simpler he tried to explain through an example. He said that the observer should have purity of heart with his eye sight. He told the the students that he met such a person who satisfied both the conditions and his name is Ramkrishnadev and he lived in Dakshineswar. In him Professor found the phenomenon of "trance". He asked the students to go to Dakshineswar to see in person that state of "trance" in a person.

Some students in the class believed him. Others did not do so. Class ended but the lecture of Professor William Hastie is regarded as the starting point of the above square. In the class was Narendra Nath Dutta ( Swami Vivekananda). Narendra Nath had a number of questions in his mind on religion to which he found no answer. The class of Professor Hastie served as the path which led Narendra Nath to become Swami Vivekananda.

It was November in the year 1881 when Swamiji met Sri Sri Ramkrishna Dev in the house of Surendra Nath Mitra. Swamiji sang a bhajan there in front of Sri Sri Ramkrishna Dev. After Swamiji ended his bhajan, Sri Sri Ramkrishna Dev asked Swamiji to visit Dakshineswar.

Professor Hastie's name will remain in history of Ramkrishna movement for ever so will the name of William Wordsworth for his poem, ` The Excursion' will remain tied.

The incident once again proves that every big thing starts with the small step. To-day Swami Vivekananda is regarded as one of the greatest teachers the world has seen in recent times. Swamiji's disciple carried out tasks allotted to her. Other who were not around during the life of Swamiji adopted his principles to lead life and bring change in other. Thus was created the square of Rani Rashmani- Sri Sri Ramkrishna Dev - Swami Vivekananda and Maa Sarada.
