Missed The Trip, Loved The Results!

I was invited by the ADEN School of Management in Buenos Aires to participate in a management summit. Due to Coronavirus, the event was moved online. I really wanted to go, partly because my family ancestors migrated from the Poland/Ukraine area through Argentina at the turn of the last century on their way to the United States.
But, things turned out for the better. Instead of only hundreds of attendees at an on-campus location, the event was promoted across Latin America and over 50,000 attendees appeared for the broadcasted events, and 80,000 enjoyed the content on their own schedules. The truth is, this was a better outcome. Costs were lower and more professionals attended.
It takes a lot to pull off an online event at such a scale. It's not harder than an in-person event, just different, and typically more people are involved (all coordinating efforts remotely, of course).
"Crafted Leadership" company Thinking Heads did an amazing job of sourcing speakers, creating the brand, and enhancing the content.
They worked with me and the other speakers to coordinate an entire agenda for the now much larger group with their more varied content interests. I've worked with Thinking Heads in Spain and Colombia before and each time they bring something innovative that enhances the experience. (I guess that's one of the reasons I like them so much. After all, Storyminers does know something about experiences ;-)
Here's an example of their creative and business mindset at work. Spot check the video below (this one is the recorded session I did on the Future of Customer Experience) and notice how the creatives at ADEN and Thinking Heads added value. Specifically, they:
- used a dynamic background to hold your attention
- kept my recorded-at-home video small so that the resolution was high
- used full-frame stock imagery to keep participant's interest high and their imaginations going full-speed
These techniques take time and creative expertise, and they are worth it. If you can help English-language content come alive and appeal to audience members whose primary languages are Spanish, Portuguese, and French, you're adding tremendous value!
