Misnamed and Disastrous: The Retirement Security Rule Fails to Address Retirement Security.
David Macchia
I develop innovations that help insurers, asset managers and broker-dealers grow their businesses faster.
How are we supposed to think about a regulation that purports to enhance retirement security but does just the opposite? Well, that's not exactly true. The Retirement Security Rule does address retirement security... by diminishing it. This is a bad rule, that is an example of a bad public policy, that will lead to bad outcomes for Americans. It deserves to have a Court quickly vacate it.

10 个月As usual, David, you are right on point. If only we could get through to the DOL, and help them understand how important income is! Keep your thoughts coming and spread the word.

10 个月Don’t we live in “opposite’s world”? Pretty much take the name of any legislation and think the opposite and that’s what you have! Think about it? “Secure Act” = “Unsecure Act” (gutted the “Stretch IRA” provision) “Inflation Reduction Act” = “Inflation Elevation Act” (increased government spending on climate change) Can you say “Twilight Zone”?
