The Misfortune Illusion

The offsetting positives to negative situations may not appear until a much later date or they appear in small increments over a period of time.

Setbacks and problems are often nothing more than illusions because we fail to connect the long range benefits to the negative occurrence. Many people have a lack of perspective to the offsetting benefits of their setbacks.
