The Misalignment of Sales & Marketing

A big mistake I see in selling is the misalignment of sales and marketing.

Many professionals do either one or the other. But you need to do both.

Marketing (the long game) supports the selling (short game). With the sale, you are asking someone to do something:

Buy your product

Attend an event

Get on a call

You need to build some level of rapport before the "ask" and this is your marketing.

Sales and marketing go hand in hand. When you do it right, the result is an efficient process.
