I'm Shelby Frenette THE Solo Travel Expert. I have hosted 1000's of singles events on board and sailed over 500 cruises and countless resorts. I am passionate about creating the BEST and most organic environment for fun, kind, good natured singles of all ages. Having hosted for so many years as their "Jule Mccoy" I want to share the most common misconceptions people have about a #singlessailing #solotravel #travelfun trip!

1.????They think it’s a "pick-up" or "hook-up" fest.

I think our repeat cruisers say it best “It’s whatever you want it to be.” Most people truly come just to hang out and make more single friends who like to travel. We are not a dating service, we simply provide an organic environment for people to meet IRL NO PRESSURE - more like a new Travel Club than a dating service.

2.????They think it is all young 20 year olds on board.

Our average “all ages” singles sailings/trips have all ages but the majority are 35-60 years old so this couldn’t be further from the truth. We do get a few people in their 20s/30s but they are the minority, the majority are 40s+ professionals.

3. It's a "meat market"

A Singles Sailing is much like real life singles demographics. Certainly there are people that are there with one thing on their mind but much more often most people are there truly to have a great vacation, make some friends and have some laughs! It's not a meat market, it's entirely what you make of it, and the majority come back time and time again b/c they had that much fun!

4. I’ll still find singles on a regular cruise.

On a regular cruise, you might meet a few singles on the ship here and there, but you won't find a large group of singles and you will be surrounded by families and couples if you don't book with our TravelFun.Biz singles groups which really is not as fun. It's also much safer to have a group/base of people you know you can count on for dinner, dancing in the disco, tours and just in general you have built in wingman/woman, which everyone loves to have on trips!

5. It will only be women

NOT true. It really depends on the vacation, for example our Temptations wildest adults only options DO get more men then woman. Most every other trip is about 60/40 split either gender. And while we're on topic, the trips that www.TravelFun.Biz hosts are geared toward heterosexual monogamous adults. While we are inclusive of all demographics & adults only offerigs do generally have all kinds of preferences however you will definitely find the vast majority of our TravelFun guests are just fun, nice, kind singles looking for new friends and open to falling in love if cupid strikes his arrow!
