Mirror Mirror on the Wall...

Editors Note - First of all - if you thought it was "Mirror, Mirror on the Wall.." then you'd be wrong - it's "Magic Mirror on the Wall..." - I'll be doing a post on the Mandela Effect in the future...

Look in the mirror - whilst it may not tell lies, it can appear to distort the truth...

You may notice that in your reflection you are opposite-handed - if you're right-hand dominant, your reflection is left-hand dominant...

Also, note that your head stays at the top and doesn't get reversed...

It's true that our lives, businesses, and bank accounts are reflections of us too...

I get asked occasionally if I can predict who will be successful in business and who won't...

The answer is, I can't really predict who will be successful, but I can predict with reasonable accuracy who will have the toughest time or be more likely to crash and burn...

And it's not knowledge, money - although money delays the inevitable for some - training or skills and experience...

It's Disposition...

It's how they show up, and how they deal with success and failure...

It's an attitude, grit, determination, and a sense of humour...

Why does Disposition Top Trump everything else...?

Because that is what shows up as we are reflected in our Business and Life.

Disposition is a Gateway Skill - the absence of which dramatically reduces the beneficial effects of skills and experience...

If you smile at the world it will smile back at you...

Does it mean we have to be happy all the time...?

No, it means we know how to bounce back from low energy, conspiracy beliefs, and pity parties quickly and get back on stage...

I had a client in the USA that would regularly tell me, amongst other things...

• "I don't want to do this anymore..."
• "All my clients are useless..."
• "I hate marketing and sales..."
• "My team are all just 5 or 6's at best..."

So you can imagine with this picture being projected onto the world, what the results were...

Everything was broken, the world was conspiring against him and nothing was any good...

Only when his Disposition changed did his success change - strange that...??

Editors Note - it's OK to want to chuck it all in and go drive a van for Tesco, but only for 20 minutes, then you have to get back on the horse...

He was skilled, educated, and experienced - he ticked all the boxes, except one...

His Disposition was actually toxic to his success and achievement...

• Who wants to work with or for someone who has no self-belief, vision, energy, and passion for what they do...
• Who wants to be a client of theirs...?
• Who wants to be married to them...?

So if you want to be successful, attract opportunities and people that serve you, support you, and collaborate with you...

Our lives, businesses, and bank accounts are a reflection of us, if we want to change our outcomes, we need to change our inputs...

Stop being like Eeyore and start being more like Tigger - you're on stage, start to behave like it...
