Welcome back to another weekly edition of this short and actionable newsletter to help you figure out how to do less in order to become more productive.
One of the things about staying "busy" is that we sometimes think we've always got to be ON in order to keep getting stuff done.
Mirror time.
Time to look in the mirror.
Yes. You.
The Problem:?I'm Not Feeling It
This week, imagine you and I are at a mirror store.
I don't even know if a store like that really exists; however, since this is all happening in our imagination anyway -- go with it for now for me :-).
ME: "Hey, how are you?"
YOU: "I'm not feeling it."
One of the things that helps me become more productive is to sometimes look in the mirror and figure out what's ONE THING I could do next.
Even if I am not, "Feeling it."
You know, we all have "those days."
That's normal.
And.
Being a professional means putting on our "big kid" pants and DOing the next [ right ] thing.
I guess if anyone ever lent me their "Adulting" handbook that would probably be chapter one heh.

1 个月This actually makes me think of the ADHD management technique of Body Doubling. On the days you're not feeling it, working near someone else can often make the difference in getting you through the initial inertia. That can be especially helpful in remote environments IMO!
