The Mirror of Identity: Discovering Your True Self to Serve Others

As I stand before a mirror, an image begins to take shape. At first, it’s hard to recognize—it looks like me, but with every glance, the familiar version fades, and something new begins to emerge.

It’s like the flicker of a light bulb coming to life.

I’m taken aback by this new reflection, though I’m not entirely surprised. With each passing moment, the image becomes clearer. It’s pulling me in—unlike anything I’ve ever felt when looking at my own reflection.

As I continue to gaze, feelings of love, worth, and meaning well up within me. The familiar “me” disappears, and this new image fully captures my attention. The flicker of the light bulb transforms into a steady, bright glow.

It’s a glow that reveals something truly beautiful beyond description.

This reflection is not just about me—it represents all those who long for my presence.

Seeing Beyond Yourself

When you embrace your unique identity, you begin to see life from a higher perspective. You realize life isn’t just about you; it’s about others.

As I discover—or rediscover—who I am, I feel compelled to faithfully serve those around me. This is Inside Out Leadership.

Remember: you can only give what you have received. When you fully receive your true self, you act from a place of freedom and openness, allowing you to serve others selflessly.

Lessons from Abdul

This is the lesson Abdul taught me: to receive deeply in order to give greatly.

From the outside, it might have seemed like Abdul had little. But inside, he was rich. He understood the power of receiving, which allowed him to give generously. The most incredible part? Abdul didn’t need to see the results of his generosity in others’ lives. He trusted that the seeds he planted would bloom, even if he wasn’t there to witness it.
