A Miracle or Science ?

It’s a Miracle ! said the farmer in his native Pashtun dialect. He was in a state of disbelief as he saw streams of clear water flowing out from a treatment plant. A group of local farmers have gathered around the new plant, part of the Government efforts to improve sanitation and public health in water-starved areas in the Balochistan Province and also to encourage efforts to reuse water.
These farmers have not used clean water for their farms for awhile, and they have never seen a sewage treatment plant before. Though most were illiterate, they produced the best apples in the country. They have been using untreated sewage to water their farms for decades. It was the only water resource they had. Initially it took a lot of effort to persuade them "to sacrifice" the untreated sewage - the treatment plant can only work with sufficient inflow - and then later to convince them that the clean and safe treated water they now got from the plant came from the science working, whilst agreeing with them the improvements was indeed outstandingly remarkable - just like a miracle.
