Today, I want to discuss a few ways that you, as an entrepreneur or busy professional, need to focus on your health—whether physical or mental.?
I know many people out there working extremely hard to build the business of their dreams, myself included. The truth is, there is so much more to life than business, and at the end of the day, a lot of the things that happen in our personal lives are reflected professionally.?
If you look at a thriving business that continues to grow, I can guarantee that it is either doing all of these things or at least most of them!
The Miracle Morning is a book I highly recommend - and it’s a game changer. If you’re not familiar with it, you can put it into practice by following the acronym SAVERS. S is for silence. This could be meditation, prayer, or just sitting in silence. Giving yourself this time to rest and sitting in a quiet place maximizes your brain’s recovery.?
A is for affirmations. You can do these in a variety of ways, but the right way to do them is to speak them as if they already exist. It might feel uncomfortable at first, but speaking to yourself this way trains your brain to look out for ways out in the world to achieve the things you’re saying. This is something that has been studied and proven to be highly effective in achieving goals.?
V is visualization. This is a way of seeing the things in your mind’s eye that you’ve set out to accomplish. One great way to do this is to consider your final result, and then breaking the steps that it will take to reach that goal. You don’t need to constantly focus on the end goal, as long as you are taking those smaller steps, you know you’re moving closer to it.?
E is for exercise. Moving your body is so important—it’s the only one you have! Even if you’re not into intense exercise, a simple walk can give you the mental and physical reset you need.

R is for reading, which could be physical or audiobooks. I like listening to audiobooks because they allow me to multitask.
S stands for scribe, which represents writing in this acronym. Writing is like a muscle. If you aren’t someone who likes to write or feels like they are good at it, I’d encourage you to spend some time writing something each day. You’d be surprised how much of a difference it makes and how much you improve over time.
My Challenge To You I'd like you to spend a few weeks putting these concepts into practice. Let me know what you think and what kinds of changes you see.
