MIPCOM 2023: explore our new slate

Mipcom is in full swing! We're delighted to be presenting an incredible line-up of new documentaries and factual entertainment in Cannes.

Find out more about our latest titles below, and click here for our full Latest Releases Catalogue.

FREED (8 x 42' 4K/HD) & Inside Damanhur: A Hidden World (1 x 90' / 1 x 52' 4K / HD)

In the true crime space, we are presenting FREED to the international marketplace for the first time. Through intimate and privileged access to the inner workings of the judicial system and prisons in hard-to-reach areas, each episode of this compelling true crime series examines a different character's crimes, their journeys as they reintegrate into a life beyond bars.

Are untold mysteries more of your thing? Look no further than Inside Damanhur: A Hidden World. With unprecedented access to a hidden community, this documentary profiles the mysterious Damanhur community. Founder by a charismatic leader in the 1970s, this commune lives an entirely different life to those on the outside - with its own laws, currency, and an unbelievable underground temple the size of an eleven-story building...

Hair: Uncut (1 x 45' HD) & Manscaping (1 x 62' / 1 x 52' HD)

Directed by Jordan Pitt and Fola Evans-Akingbola (Netflix's The Night Agent), Hair: Uncut is an intimate and emotive exploration of today’s stars’ experiences with Afro hair on set. The documentary, which recently aired on Sky Documentaries UK, features incredible talent such as Naomi Harris (Moonlight) and David Ajala (Star Trek: Discovery). We're delighted to be bringing Hair: Uncut to international audiences following its success in the UK!

On the topic of hair... we're also presenting Manscaping, a portrait of three queer men reimagining the traditional barbershop. From a pioneering trans-inclusive barbershop, to Australia's 'naked barber,' this is a compelling examination of queer identity through the lens of hairdressing and barber shops.

Resistance: They Fought Back (1 x 96' HD) & The Boys Who Said NO! (1 x 95' / 1 x 52' HD)

We're also bringing a powerful and diverse line-up of history documentaries to Cannes. These two documentaries tell the sides of history you've never heard before. Filmed across Europe, Resistance: They Fought Back is an examination of the little-known stories of Jewish resistance that took place against the Nazis during WWII - from armed resistance in the forests, to rescues in death camps.

Meanwhile, The Boys Who Said NO! brings an entirely new perspective to the Vietnam war. Did you know about the draft resistance movement, where thousands of American men refused to fight in the war by burning their draft cards? Featuring a roster of high-profile resistors including Muhammad Ali and Martin Luther King Jr, as well as the unsung heroes of the movement, this film captures, for the first time, the youth-led nonviolent civil disobedience which inspired today's contemporary social movements.

Below the Belt (1 x 52' HD)

And last but certainly not least - we are incredibly proud to be distributing Below the Belt, directed by Shannon Cohn and executive produced by Hillary Clinton and Rosario Dawson. Through the personal & inspiring stories of four patients urgently searching for answers to mysterious symptoms, Below the Belt exposes widespread problems in our healthcare system that disproportionately affect women. A tribute to the strength of women and a stirring message for better care, the film’s powerful and intimate storytelling advocates for a future where all girls and women are treated equally within healthcare and beyond.
