We're excited to launch our Executive Spotlight series that shines the light on some of our amazing senior leaders at D2L. I had the opportunity to catch up with Nick and learn a little bit more about what he loves about #lifeatD2L and beyond!

If you've met Nick before, you know that he's full of energy and enthusiasm. When I asked him what he loves about working at D2L, he passionately shared the following:

"I can see the positive impact on kids, teachers and employees. Learning is so fundamentally important to the world and makes it a better place and we get to play a part in that which makes it amazing!"

He's a firm believer that there is no mistake that can't be corrected and that a large part of being successful is just taking that first step. Much of which resonates with some of D2L's very own Leadership Competencies around focusing on Better, Smarter, Faster which places an emphasis on failing fast to learn fast and an urgency to innovate.

Nick (right) and Ian Adare getting ready to serve up some pancakes to the team. Nick may have mentioned to me that he ate four pancakes this day.

When he's not tossing out pancakes at work (or eating them), you can find him embarking on hobbies such as sword fighting (which he's also demoed to several of our internal teams) or playing Minecraft with his son.
