The Minority Gang

The Minority Gang

Anyone with customers will have them. The annoying minority. Those that make the most noise, pay the least, get the most attention. And believe they are more special than anyone else so they deserve their special attention.

A strong confident business sacks them; a weak business panders to them.

The only answer is to get rid, demolish, replace with new. Like a 100-year-old wooden Dartmoor bungalow; there is nothing worth salvaging. Sad. True.

But it's not just customers.

Your social media feed might be the same. Lots of nonsense from just a few people. And whilst a quick unconnect or block used to suffice, with the latest algorithms forcing suggested tosh from people you don't even know, it may be time to sack the app.

Time is precious. Having people who suck your time, with nothing of value in return, are not going to help you. So why let them in?

NO is one of the most important words you can deploy.

Loving your new house, Peter! LinkedIn is still doing ok, but the algorithm changes in Meta are making it sheer random selection in your feed - and, not worth the time as much as it once did.
