You're looking around wondering, "who am I now?" "I didn't think my time would come so soon, but here I am my dreams of playing in the big leagues are over."

If you're in this position, know this:

- You're still a stud.

- You're still a rockstar.

- You're still a great teammate.

- You're going to be or already a great husband and dad.

- The world needs really good team players and leaders to make this world go around.

- The world needs your boldness, your courage, your ability to form winning teams, your energy, your savvy, your ability to foster camaraderie.

- There's a really big world out there, much bigger than baseball. However, this chapter will repay you for the rest of your life if you leverage it right.

- You aren't awesome because you played pro ball, you are already awesome and you happened to play pro baseball.

You can go two routes right now:

One route: Stick with baseball, keep the dream alive, work hard, hope to get an invite to a team, do lessons for kids in your town, and coach travel ball. You might be at your parent's house until your 32, (not cool). Get depressed, comfort yourself in an unhealthy way, and look back with regret, thinking it was all about baseball and how you didn't work hard enough or perform well enough, or get drafted highly enough.

The ideal route: Reinvent yourself, redefine success, get into business in a sales capacity, and "go get your dream". Learn a new game from a new mentor and take the attitude and work ethic that got you to pro ball and get to work in a new game! If you surround yourself with the right leaders who are growth-minded and want to utilize your talents for everyone's best interest, you'll look back and pinch yourself. Your new dreams will come true, all while being thankful for the baseball chapter, not regretful.
